200mm Load Bearing Structural Box Gutters
| Back to Back Stop Ends | |
Note the cutaway section on the back to back stop ends, this so the stepped or normal double glazing - or polycarbonate can be extened beyond the Gutter lip if required, but it has an added bonus. Because it is below the front face it will act as a safety overflow from one section to the next should one of the outlets ever be blocked, and eliminate any possible internal water damage. |
| Back to Back Mechanical Butt Jointing | |
This illustration shows the possibilities of butt jointing on a 90° corner (internal or external) with two 45° stop ends pre-drilled and bolted with stainless steel bolts. This can be an advantage if your corners are not quite square. |
| "Capped Chute" Discharge Through Back Wall | |
There are situations where it is impossible to find drainage other than through the back wall of the gutter. This 150mm wide capped chute protrudes through the rear of the gutter to discharge into a hopper on an outside wall. |
| 400mm wide Flat Valley Gutter Support | |
This illustration shows the steel box section support under the discharge end of the 400mm wide Flat Valley gutter. ELTECH recommend the section is 150x150x6mm thick square section, but Chartered Structural Engineers should be consulted in all cases, as the self weight of the flat Valley gutter, plus the snow load, and the weight of double glazing, etc. must be calculated. |
