200mm Load Bearing Box Gutters

As the roof meets the closest point as shown left, ELTECH supply a separate Box Gutter for across the face discharging down via a pipe which slides tightly inside a 90mm o/d pipe. It is cut and welded to go around the corner into a horizontal pipe already welded into the 97mm deep face of the lower gutter. |
| All that is required to seal
the joints is to coat the outside and internal surfaces thinly using the cartridge of
supplied polyurethane and gently push and twist into position - use gloves and wipe
surplus adhesive around the joint entry. It takes 24 hours to set, but is
immediately fully waterproof. This sounds complicated, but it is very easy - see the
exploded view above. Thermal cladding is important, both to the gutters and the bridging pipes, they must be clad correctly to stop condensation. To order, ELTECH require a plan of the Gutters showing the exact width and depth of the breast, and the outlets one at each end of the lower Box Gutters required. The exact pitch of the roof and if the Gutter is for uPVC Aluminium or Timber. The sequence of erecting is first the back wall gutters and the higher gutter last. If the advised procedures are carried out correctly, the Gutters carry ELTECH's 15 years guarantees. |

| End Chute Discharge | |
|
Assume you have lots of dead leaves accumulating in your Gutters. With every heavy rainfall they are washed out via the full width end chutes into hoppers. |

|
The illustration shows a system for uPVC and Aluminium roofs. On the right-hand side the white polyethylene foam (supplied) is shown in between the glazing bars, and the cladding is shown coming right up to the underside of the glazing. Discharges are two 64mm diameter outlets or two 90mm diameter outlets, or twin full width "chute ends" if leaves are a problem. Bear in mind that the overall width when doing this is 400mm. |
| The Hopper shown is purpose made - but a standard Hopper can be used with the outlet down pipes closer together. | |

With the addition of the Ring Beam Adaptor, the above information is also suitable for all Timber roofs as illustrated opposite. |
